I’ll be honest and say that it never occurred to me that the software that runs our 4 wheeled friends is written by anybody other than the manufacturer…
I recently read an article on cnet that was talking about ‘Windows Embedded Automotive 7’ and how it is used by car manufacturers ‘Ford’.
A Thought…
I have owned one or two cars in my driving time, with more than one experiencing intermittent electrical faults… first the stereo won’t work, then the warning lights are permanently on the dash.
I can honestly say I’ve never experienced the blue screen of death as I’m driving along but knowing that Microsoft could be why my iPhone won’t sync it’s contacts to my car when the Blackberry did makes a load of sense…
