Keep safe from Viruses

On Friday and over the weekend the latest in a never ending line of viruses hit the digital world.

I read the alert for the first time on a BBC News Technology feed, it said that the virus was being delivered by a fake pdf that when opened actually connects to a website and downloads it.

Once downloaded it removes antivirus software so that it cannot be removed.

Firms have been deluged with hundreds of email to inboxes with the malicious link: Nasa, AIG, Disney, Procter & Gamble and Wells Fargo were all reported as struggling to contain an outbreak of the worm.

Protecting Yourself

There are many ways that digital nasties can get onto and into your computer; email being amongst the most common.

The problem with email is that we all typically get so many that we open them sometimes without even thinking.
